Hi all after two MB's and checking out the C63, '10 GTR, and a '08 911 Turbo ... I've decided to make the plunge with an Audi S5, 2014, in Esotril Blue with Silver Lunar interior. Much more reasonable for Ontario weather methinks!

Looks like I'm waiting till the end of Sept ... so a bit of a wait but I think it will be worth it!

WOW 911 Turbo my dream car. How do you find the power reduction from it to the S5?

 

Hey! Never owned the 911, just test drove it. I was very keen on those cars but as I tested them it really dawned on me that they do not really make great daily drivers in Ontario weather and that I needed to scale back to a car that was somewhere between a C350 (my previous ride, also RWD) and a C63 AMG. I found the S5 to sit very nicely between the two. The plan is to keep this '14 S5 for a while to potentially serve as a daily driver for my next car .. whatever it may be.

I found the supercharger on the S5 really responsive and while it may not deliver brain mashing speed like the GTR or 911, it's very fun to drive on a daily basis here in the Greater Toronto Area. Also once the car is out of warranty I'm going to seriously consider the REVO ECU tune ... I can only imagine what 411hp is like in the S5.
