I'm looking to get another set of rims for my winter tires and wanted to get TPMS sensors. I called the dealer and they quoted me around $150 CDN for each tire, that would be a sensor and a metal valve stem. Anyone know if I can get aftermarket sensors cheaper? I see sets of 4 on ebay for about $150. Any one give me TPMS 101 for the TT so I don't buy the wrong ones.

 

My dealer wasn't going to charge me quite that much, but they were definitely well over CAD $100 each.

I bought the very same Siemens 315 MHZ sensors that Audi uses in our cars for USD $55 each from Tire Rack. (Looks like they are USD $47 each now.)

You program the new TPMS sensors yourself. There's instructions in owners manual. It's super easy. Let me know if you need any more help.
