2012 TT VAGCOM Questions
Hey guys,
2012 Audi TT - Canada
I've been spending a good amount of time hoping through the different forums and threads regarding all the various VAGCOM changes. There are a number I wanted to do on my TT, but given that not all the codes work across the different car models, im kinda stuck.
Hopefully someone else may have run into these and could have a solution.
1) LED Brightness.... I remember reading instructions such as:
[09 – Cent. Elect.] [Security Access - 16] (enter security code. One of the default codes is- 20113)
[Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 3
Set between 5 and 100
However, that security access code does not work for me. Any ideas?
2) Is there anyway to have the LED strip on, and not have the Bi-Xenon's turn on when it's night? ....Aside from having to manually flip the light witch over to LEDs. In other words, can we code just the LEDs to be on in the "Automatic" position for the light switch?
3) On my headlights beside the LED strip, there is 1 Amber LED that is on, for both left and right sides. Can this be disabled?
Thanks in advance.

Re: 2012 TT VAGCOM Questions
essentially I'd like to be able to have the LED's on by themselves, without the amber side markers, and without the Xenon's. I'd like this for both daytime and night time.
Anyone have any suggestions for the codes on a 2012 TT? Seems like the ones i'm using aren't getting me these.

Re: 2012 TT VAGCOM Questions
For those that are interested, I spent a few hours yesterday messing around with Vagcom and it would appear I was able to find the settings I wanted. Here are the codes:
To disable single amber side led in the headlights:
[09 - Cent. Elec.]
[07 - Coding]
[Long Coding Helper]
[Byte 13] -> Bit 4 -> 0 or disable "Side Marker Lights via High Beam Output"
In terms of having only the LEDs on by themselves for day and night driving, I was not able to code this for the "Automatic" light switch setting, and as you all know you can already just simply turn the dial to side marker lights and have the LEDs on by themselves....as long as you remember to turn them off after.....
I was however to code the "OFF" position to have both the front LEDs on, as well as rear taillights for both daytime and nighttime:
Daytime Running Lights ON while Switch in OFF and AUTO
[09 - Cent. Elec.]
[07 - Coding]
[Long Coding Helper]
[Byte 26] -> Bit 3 -> 0 or disable "Daytime Running Light (DRL) only active with Assistance Driving Light (ADL) active"
Rear Lights with Front Lights on
[09 - Cent. Elec.]
[07 - Coding]
[Long Coding Helper]
[Byte 18] -> [Bit 0-7] -> Change to "59 Lighting: Audi TT...(RoW)
That should do it
Now the only remaining issue I had was with the dimming. I still couldn't get that to work. Performing:
[09 – Cent. Elect.] [Security Access - 16] (enter security code. One of the default codes is- 20113)
[Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 3
Set between 5 and 100
still gives me a security access code error. Any ideas?
