That unit figure is ridiculously high. Whoever printed it La Presse ages ago was likely hearing estimates for the US or North America. The rumoured number from Audi USA now is 300 units for the US. We'll be lucky if they sell 50 in Canada. It's going to be at least CAD $75K before options.

I'm not sure if I want one now or not. Personally, DSG has really grown on me. There's no way I could keep up with the shifts with a 6MT, especially since upgrading the power in my TTS. The information released about a month ago suggested that the TTRS will be coming to Canada with a 6MT only. I know they have a DSG transmission in the works for the TTRS and a lot can change in a year, but it doesn't sound like we will get it.

It's not a TT or TTS, but here's an interesting video comparison of the Golf R 6MT vs. DSG. What I like most about the comparison is the fact that the driver is not a race car driver.

We have both an Audi (my TT) and my wife has a Subaru (not the sti). And while the Subby is a good car with great value, it's no Audi!

Will they have the same body? Looks like it. But they may be very different cars. Lots of speculation. In any case you gotta love the design.
