what i see hear is the new 2012 audi tt-----to be called R4.....rear wheeldrive.

 

so, is this the end of the TT lineup? or am i wrong with what i have seen.

 

BTW it's mid engine!!! i would think it will be less $$ do to the fact that its only rear wheeldrive......say low to mid 50k

Report: Audi R4 to launch in 2013, slotted below the TT

From what I can figure, the 2013 TT will probably continue to be Quattro; the R4 (tucked in below the TT) will be mid-engine & RWD. Will they have the same body? Looks like it. But they may be very different cars. Lots of speculation. In any case you gotta love the design.

I speculate that you are half right. lol Because it's all still rumour and speculation regarding the R4 at the moment, who knows how right you are?

On related note, the Canadian TTRS is expected to be a 2012 model as it is supposed to be released in the third quarter of 2011. It will retain all of the 2011 specs. This means the TT won't be completely dead...yet.

as much as i love Audi and the TT, that new wrx sti widebody (sedan) is look very nice to me.
