Default Want to buy an used TT, what to look?

Hi everyone!

I just registered because my friend's sis is trying to get rid of her TT and I am seriously thinking of taking it off her.

It's a 2003 1.8T FWD TT with a bit under 80K on the clock, and the warranty has already expired.

Is it a good buy? (she is asking 19K)

Also, I testdrove it today and the radiator or some fans in the front is sounding quite loud when I have the window down. She said she checked with the dealer in the past, but they said it's normal and nothing they can do about it. Is this true? Any mechanic in GVR that I can bring the car for checks?

Last, I used to have a VW Jetta and it was plagued with failures on electronic parts on the car. Does the TT suffer a similar problem? Is it possible to get an extended warranty for this car? If not, what will be the maintainance cost for a car in this mileage?

Sorry for all these questions, but I am really looking to become a TT owner and an active member of this great forum!
