I live near Edmonton, Alberta and am looking to buy a low km 2001 to 2003 TT convertible, quattro, 6-speed manual, preferably black, hopefully for under $12,000.

If I buy from another province like BC,MB or ON what is the best way to avoid paying the provincial taxes?

 

I believe you only pay provincial taxes when you register the car. Since you only register the car in the province in which you reside/will be driving... You will only pay PST in Alberta, irrespective of which province you purchase the vehicle.

Best to call your provincial ministry of trans to confirm.
