Importing a TT in Calgary

Default Importing a TT in Calgary

Hey everyone,

I've decided to buy a TT sometime around April of this year. I have done a lot of research and know of the 6 bumper related parts needed replacement to comply as well as changing the odometer to metric (Vag-Com).

My question's are; are the humps(tumors) part of the bumper cover? or is it a cutout where an extension of a the impact beam sits? And are there any other differences?

I'm going to get the work done at a body shop and am curious because I want the smooth look and am trying to figure out whether it would be best to modify the re-bar to a US cover, or use the CDN covers and have them smoothed too.

Last, anyone here from Calgary and have imported a TT already? I would be curious to hear your experience and where you had your work done?

As far as I know the entire impact bar needs to be changed, call Glenmore Audi, and ask for parts then ask them what the modifications required are. As for the Converting to km from miles and the DRL's and anything else you like I can do it for you, I have a vag-com and am also in Calgary, contact me through a Private Message and I'll send you my contact info.

What are the 6 items to fix on the tt, besides the bumpers & daytime running lights?

Things have changed on bumpers impact beam and brackets check what jazz had to say on my TT bumper for sale in the audi parts for sale.
