Default A/C button HELP. What does it do?

Hello all,

I was just wondering what does the A/C button that is in between the arrows do. Meaning, its below the arrow pointing upwards and on top of the arrow pointing downwards.

It kinda looks like a radiator with a dot in the center. If I push it i feel like the air comes out of the vents stronger but I would like to know exactly what it is for.

Ive tried looking all over the net and no luck, and I dont have an user manual either.

Thanks

EDIT ************* i am attaching a picture for better self-explanation

Those three are the manual selection buttons for air flow.

Up arrow is to force air out to the top vents(by the windshield
Middle arrow is to force air out the middle vents(in the front of the dash)
Down arrow is to force air out the bottom vents(by your feet)
