Default It would be an Incredibly Simple Sales Event...

if you don't read the fine print...

You might want to find a nice, comfy place to sit before you begin reading this - there are a lot of ways to save, so it could take a while. Ready? Okay, here we go. First off, let's start with the basics of fine print: © 2009 Audi Canada. *Next, the offer above for the A4 does not extend to the A4 2.0T Cabriolet FWD, A4 2.0T Cabriolet quattro, or A4 3.2 Cabriolet quattro models, but read on to discover great deals on these cars too. Now on to the good stuff: the offers. First, since savings like this can't last forever, a little disclaimer: offers end May 30th, 2009 and are subject to change or cancellation without notice. So don't dilly-dally! You must take delivery by May 30th, 2009. Also, it should be noted that a dealer order or trade might be necessary in order to get the car you want, and that vehicle selection is subject to availability. Visit your dealer for more details. Great! Now, there are three ways to get the Audi you want: you can purchase with cash, you can lease, or you can finance. If you're planning to purchase with cash, here's what you need to know: for a limited time you can save up to $12,500 on cash purchases of a new 2009 Audi, excluding only the Audi S4 Cabriolet, Audi A5, Audi S5, and Audi R8. Savings range in value from $2,000 to $12,500, and vary by model. Save $2,000 on the Audi Q5 3.2 and Audi Q5 3.2 Premium. Save $3,000 on the Audi A3 2.0T FWD, A3 2.0T FWD Premium, A3 2.0T quattro, A3 2.0T quattro Premium, A3 3.2 quattro, A4 2.0T Sedan FWD, A4 2.0T Sedan quattro, A4 2.0T Sedan quattro Premium, A4 3.2 Sedan quattro, A4 2.0T Avant quattro, and A4 2.0T Avant quattro Premium. Save $3,500 on the Audi Q7 3.0 TDI and Audi Q7 3.0 TDI Premium. Save $4,000 on the A4 2.0T Cabriolet FWD, A4 2.0T Cabriolet quattro, A4 3.2 Cabriolet quattro, TT Coupe 2.0T FWD, TT Coupe 2.0T quattro, TT Coupe 3.2 quattro, TT S Coupe quattro, TT Roadster 2.0T FWD, TT Roadster 2.0T quattro, TT Roadster 3.2 quattro, and TT S Roadster quattro. Save $4,500 on the Audi Q7 3.6, Audi Q7 3.6 Premium, and Audi Q7 4.2 Premium. Save $6,000 on the A6 3.2 Sedan FWD, A6 3.2 Sedan FWD Premium, A6 3.0T Sedan quattro, A6 3.0T Sedan quattro Premium, A6 4.2 Sedan quattro Premium, S6 5.2 quattro, and A6 3.0T quattro Avant. Save $9,000 on the A8L 6.0 W12 and S8 5.2. And finally, save $12,500 on the A8 and A8L. Please see your dealer for details. As per usual, $800 freight, PDI, PPSA, license, insurance, registration, any dealer or other charges, options, and other applicable taxes are extra. Now, since we're also offering some really incredible lease rates, we'd really like to explain how much you could save with those, too. For a limited time, we're offering lease rates as low as 3.9% on nearly every 2009 model. Rates will range up to 7.9% based on the model and term. And just so you know, these lease rates are available through Audi Finance, on approved credit, based on a new 2009 Audi, excluding the Audi R8. Here's the breakdown: Lease at 3.9% APR with a $750 cash incentive on a 36-month term on the A3 2.0T FWD, A3 2.0T FWD Premium, A3 2.0T quattro, A3 2.0T quattro Premium, A3 3.2 quattro, A4 2.0T Sedan FWD, A4 2.0T Sedan quattro, A4 2.0T Sedan quattro Premium, A4 3.2 Sedan quattro, A4 2.0T Avant quattro, A4 2.0T Avant quattro Premium, Audi Q5 3.2, Audi Q5 3.2 Premium, Audi Q7 3.0 TDI, or Audi Q7 3.0 TDI Premium. Lease at 3.9% APR with a $1,500 cash incentive on a 36-month term on the A4 2.0T Cabriolet FWD, A4 2.0T Cabriolet quattro, A4 3.2 Cabriolet quattro, A6 3.2 Sedan FWD, A6 3.2 Sedan FWD Premium, A6 3.0T Sedan quattro, A6 3.0T Sedan quattro Premium, A6 3.0T Avant quattro, TT Coupe 2.0T FWD, TT Coupe 2.0T quattro, TT Coupe 3.2 quattro, TT S Coupe quattro, TT Roadster 2.0T FWD, TT Roadster 2.0T quattro, TT Roadster 3.2 quattro, or TT S Roadster quattro. Lease at 3.9% APR with a $2,750 cash incentive on a 36-month term on the Audi Q7 4.2 Premium. Lease at 3.9% APR with a $3,250 cash incentive on a 36-month term on the Audi Q7 3.6 or Audi Q7 3.6 Premium. Lease at 3.9% APR with a $8,500 cash incentive on a 36- month term on the A8 and A8L. Lease at 7.9% APR with a $9,000 cash incentive on a 36-month term on the A8L 6.0 W12, or S8 5.2. Or, lease at 7.9% on a 36-month term on the S4 Cabriolet, A5 3.2 Coupe, S5 4.2 Coupe, or S6 5.2 Sedan. Your dealer may lease for less. Once again, see your dealer for details. Your down payment or equivalent trade-in, $800 freight, and PDI will be due at lease inception. And with these leases, you'll get a 16,000 / year kilometre allowance. A charge up to $0.35 / km for excess kilometres will apply, and ranges depending on vehicle. Like always, PPSA, license, insurance, registration, any dealer or other charges, options, and other applicable taxes are extra. Phew! Okay, so that pretty much covers leasing. But perhaps you're not interested in a lease or a cash purchase. Maybe you want to finance your purchase instead. Don't worry; we've got you covered there too. For a limited time, we're offering incredible finance rates as low as 2.9%. This offer is available through Audi Finance, on approved credit, based on a new 2009 Audi, excluding the Audi R8. Here's how it works: Finance at 2.9% APR with a $1,500 cash incentive on a 72-month term on the A3 2.0T FWD, A3 2.0T FWD Premium, A3 2.0T quattro, A3 2.0T quattro Premium, A3 3.2 quattro, A4 2.0T Sedan FWD, A4 2.0T Sedan quattro, A4 2.0T Sedan quattro Premium, A4 3.2 Sedan quattro, A4 2.0T Avant quattro, A4 2.0T Avant quattro Premium, Audi Q7 3.0 TDI, or Audi Q7 3.0 TDI Premium. Finance at 2.9% APR with a $3,000 cash incentive on a 72-month term on the A4 2.0T Cabriolet FWD, A4 2.0T Cabriolet quattro, A4 3.2 Cabriolet quattro, A6 3.2 Sedan FWD, A6 3.2 Sedan FWD Premium, A6 3.0T Sedan quattro, A6 3.0T Sedan quattro Premium, A6 4.2, A6 3.0T Avant, TT Coupe 2.0T FWD, TT Coupe 2.0T quattro, TT Coupe 3.2 quattro, TT S Coupe quattro, TT Roadster 2.0T FWD, TT Roadster 2.0T quattro, TT Roadster 3.2 quattro, or TT S Roadster quattro. Finance at 2.9% APR with a $3,500 cash incentive on a 72-month term on the Audi Q7 4.2 Premium. Finance at 2.9% APR with a $4,000 cash incentive on a 72-month term on the Audi Q7 3.6 or Audi Q7 3.6 Premium. Finance at 2.9% APR with a $10,000 cash incentive on a 72-month term on the A8 or A8L. Finance at 3.9% APR with a $1,500 cash incentive on a 72-month term on the Audi Q5 3.2 or Audi Q5 3.2 Premium. Finance at 6.9% APR with a $9,000 cash incentive on a 72-month term on the A8L 6.0 W12, or the S8 5.2. Or finance at 6.9% APR on a 72-month term on the S4 Cabriolet, A5 3.2 Coupe, or S5 4.2 Coupe. Again, taxes are included and have no cash value. Your dealer, if he or she is really nice, may sell for less. A down payment or equivalent trade-in may be required and would be due at signing. Like usual, $800 freight, PDI, PPSA, license, insurance, registration, any dealer or other charges, options, and other applicable taxes are extra. But that's pretty normal, now isn't it? So there you have it: a ton of ways to save on a ton of Audi vehicles. So if you're interested in getting into an Audi (and let's be honest, if you've read this far in, you must be) then we suggest you choose the Audi model that suits your lifestyle best, and then simply decide which method of payment (and by extension, which kind of savings) you would prefer to benefit from. So for example: imagine you wanted to get a new 2009 Audi A3 2.0 TFSI FrontTrak with a 6-speed manual transmission. (Good choice!) The Base MSRP would be $31,800, which excludes freight ($800) and PDI (up to $2,345). If you were to purchase this vehicle with cash, you would save $3,000. If you were to lease, you would get a$750 cash incentive, and make payments of $412 per month, based on a $3,180 down payment and 3.9% APR for 36 months. A $3,180 down payment or equivalent trade-in, up to $3,145 for freight and PDI, your $470 security deposit and first monthly payment are due at lease inception. The total lease obligation, then, would be $18,012 (excluding freight, PDI, and taxes). In this case, you would have a 16,000 / year kilometre allowance, and be charged $0.25 / km for excess kilometres. Alternatively, you could finance, get a $1,500 cash incentive, and make payments of $411 per month, based on a $3,180 down payment and 2.9% APR for 72 months. A $3,180 down payment or equivalent trade-in, and up to $3,145 for freight and PDI are due at delivery. The total obligation, then would be $32,772 (excluding freight, PDI, and taxes) and the cost of borrowing is $2,460.50. That's three great ways to get into the A3 of your dreams. Not bad. But say you were thinking about getting a new 2009 Audi A4 2.0 TFSI FWD instead. The Base MSRP for this vehicle would be $38,300, which excludes freight ($800) and PDI (up to $2,345). If you were to make a cash purchase, you would save $3,000. You could also decide to lease it. By leasing, you would get a $750 cash incentive, and make payments of $501 per month, based on a $3,830 down payment and 3.9% APR for 36 months. Your down payment or equivalent trade-in, up to $3,830 for freight and PDI, your $560 security deposit and first monthly payment would be due at lease inception. And your total lease obligation, would be $21,866 (excluding freight, PDI, and taxes). For the term of your lease, you would be given a 16,000 / year kilometre allowance, and be charged $0.25 / km for excess kilometres. Finally, should you decide to finance, you would get a $1,500 cash incentive, and make payments of $499 per month, based on a $3,830 down payment and 2.9% APR for 72 months. A $3,830 down payment or equivalent trade-in, and up to $3,145 for freight and PDI are due at delivery. The total obligation, then would be $39,758 (excluding freight, PDI, and taxes) and the cost of borrowing is $2,991.25. That's a good option too. If on the other hand you were more interested in a new 2009 Audi A6 3.0 TFSI, the Base MSRP would be $62,700, which excludes freight ($800) and PDI (up to $2,345). If you were to purchase this vehicle with cash, you would save $6,000. If you were to lease, you would get a $1,500 cash incentive, and make payments of $845 per month, based on a $6,270 down payment and 3.9% APR for 36 months. A $6,270 down payment or equivalent trade-in, up to $3,145 for freight and PDI, your $900 security deposit and first monthly payment are due at lease inception. The total lease obligation, then would be $36,690 (excluding freight, PDI, and taxes). In this case, you would have a 16,000 / year kilometre allowance, and be charged $0.25 / km for excess kilometres. Alternatively, you could finance, get a $3,000 cash incentive, and make payments of $809 per month, based on a $6,270 down payment and 2.9% APR for 72 months. A $6,270 down payment or equivalent trade-in, and up to $3,145 for freight and PDI are due at delivery. The total obligation, then would be $64,518 (excluding freight, PDI, and taxes) and the cost of borrowing is $4,847.52. Of course, the new 2009 Audi Q5 3.2 FSI is a great vehicle. If you wanted to get this instead, the Base MSRP would be $43,400, which excludes freight ($800) and PDI (up to $2,345). If you were to purchase this vehicle with cash, you would save $2,000. If you were to lease, you would get a $750 cash incentive, and make payments of $571 per month, based on a $4,340 down payment and 3.9% APR for 36 months. A $4,340 down payment or equivalent trade-in, up to $3,145 for freight and PDI, your $630 security deposit and first monthly payment are due at lease inception. The total lease obligation, then would be $24,896 (excluding freight, PDI, and taxes). In this case, you would have a 16,000 / year kilometre allowance, and be charged $0.25 / km for excess kilometres. Alternatively, you could finance, get a $1,500 cash incentive, and make payments of $586 per month, based on a $4,340 down payment and 3.9% APR for 72 months. A $4,340 down payment or equivalent trade-in, and up to $3,145 for freight and PDI, are due at delivery. The total obligation, then would be $46,532 (excluding freight, PDI, and taxes) and the cost of borrowing is $4,626.47.
Basically, whether you're purchasing with cash, financing, or leasing, you're going to get a great deal, no matter what vehicle you choose. One more thing: those pretty pictures up top? They're actually European models shown with optional equipment that may not be available at time of purchase. Sorry about that. Our art director thought they looked "progressive".

Hey Alex, thanks for posting this!

I took delivery on May 1 and paid cash for a Q5 3.2 Premium. Can I go back to my dealer and get the $2000? Or is it too late and now I am effed?

I know I already asked on a couple of other forums but I'm not sure which ones you check regularly. Thanks for your time!

This started on the 1st of the month, if you bill of sale is dated for that day, then you should get it. Call your dealer and get the money!!! I'm sure they are registering the car on the first end getting the money.

Thanks a ton, Alex! Right after I read your posts I sent an email to the GM and SM with the promo .pdf attached. We have a pretty good relationship (doing a cross promo this weekend actually) so I don't foresee it as a problem. If I'm ever in Mississauga I'm coming down to the dealership and buying you lunch!
