I love the Top Gear show from the UK. The hosts have a real chemistry. Watching this trailer of what might be coming here to our shores I am not so sure the same chemistry is there or they are the right hosts.

Any comments?

I totally agree. James, Richard and Jezza from the U.K show just have a chemistry that is the glue that holds that show together. Constant banter, insults, it's just fantastic. I don't see that in this show... but who knows. Looks like they have the "challenges" part down at least, I absolutely love all the "$1000 car" bits on the U.K show.

Yeah these guys look like rednecks joyriding.

The show lacks the class and flair that only Jeremy, Richard and James give in the UK. Plus, they have a good strong following which cannot be found in the U.S. I mean I have seen some pretty hot chicks in the audience of their shows which I don;t think you'd ever find in this show. Compared to European women, women in North America just don't GET IT when it comes to cars. Hell, compared to Europe, most North American MEN don't get it either. I doubt the acheive the same success as in the UK

I know this sounds a little warped but unlike women, my car has ALWAYS returned the favor when I invested in her lol. I fill the tires to the proper pressure, she gives me better mileage, I change her oil, she gives me better performance AND mileage. with a car, you can get just as much out of it as you put into it (well not true if we're talking about a GM) and I think this is why you CAN build a relationship with a car.

Check out icefilms.info and watch "Love the Beast". It's a pretty cool movie made by car lovers FOR car lovers.

Yeah I love the UK series (have every episode, and any of the blurays) but the american series was tried before, I think with Adam Carolla??? In any case it'll be tough to top Jeremy, Captain Slow and Hammond... especially their reviews that are certainly unbiased.
