Steering Alignment

Steering Alignment
I am posting this in the general section of the forum as it might be a common issue.
I have recently noticed that my steering wheel has an approximately 5 degree tilt towards the left. What I mean is that when I am driving in a straight line the steering is not straight it’s slightly tilted. If I straighten the steering the car will gently steer right after about 10-15 feet of driving.
- I am using OEM Rims/Tires
- I have not hit any bumps or pot holes
- Car has under 5K (likely not an alignment issue)
- All the balancing weights are on the wheels nothing is missing
- I don’t have any wheel pull at all
- There is no steering vibration at any speed
- All tires airs are 100% as per spec (using nitrogen)
- This experience is visible at above 30 kph
- This experience is visible with or without lane departure turned active
- I am not using any spacers
This is on my A7, I had a similar experience with my S4, took the car into Audi 3 times they and they did the laser wheel alignment with no luck. I don’t recall having this issue back in the winter time when I had my winter rims.
Does anyone have any thoughts or recommendations?
Thanks & Cheers.

Re: Steering Alignment
I have had a similar issue with my 2011 Q5. The first time I complained, the dealer did a full alignment and improved the steering wheel offset. When I complained again, the service advisor claimed that they cannot set the steering wheel more accurately than +/- 5 degrees. I have given up and live with a few degrees offset to the left. It still bothers me ...

Re: Steering Alignment
Sorry to hear the same Mike. It's so annoying. You're driving your nice fancy car in a straight line you look down and the Audi logo on the steering is tilted.

Re: Steering Alignment
I`ve had alignments go off suddenly without hitting any potholes or anything of that sort and just a few thousdand k after the previous alignment. Can you get free alignment checks at any shops?

Re: Steering Alignment
I am taking it into Audi Aug 02 to have it checked out. In the last 3 months I've had 3 TMPS warnings meanwhile the pressure is right on. Seems like mis-fire. I wonder if there is a relationship.
