Default Sport Suspension

Anyone know what makes a sport suspension, a sport suspension? How do you know if you have it? I guess it comes with the sport package?!?

If anyone has it, please share your experiences. I don't have sport seats in case anyone was wondering.

I think I need to increase my wordiness.

I'm not sure about the B6's but on the B7's it was a $350 option on the standard car and was included in the S-Line and Titanium packages. It's basically a 10mm drop, and stiffer dampers.

ok.. i am far faaaaaaar from being technical. But from what I know of sport suspensions, they are much tighter. You basically get a "stickier" but much less "smooth" ride. Also, because its so much tighter it allows for larger rims as the car will rock a lot more on a looser suspension.

On the last gen 4.2, you can tell from the seats, and the tires, mostly. The car is also lower. I prefer the sport suspension, but having driven a 4.2 without it, I can see how some people would prefer not to have it, as the ride is much smoother without it............

I have the sport package on my 2003 A4 and the car does feels a little more rough or 'tight' on the road. It is also lower than normal but not too bad. It gives your car the sporty feeling behind the wheel that some of us like. I have 19" wheels and GY Eagles on it and they feel great on the Autobahns of Germany. I'm due to bring my baby back to the states by the end of the year and I'm not looking forward to drive it there much since I know that we don't take care of our roads the way they do here.
