Default Should I buy an Audi?

I have an '03 Jetta 1.8T. It is by far the worst car I have ever owned. Horrible electrical issues since the day I have owned it, blown hoses, tire issues, etc, etc ,etc. It is time to put it out to pasture. Question I have is how much in common are VW and Audi regarding construction, electrical, reliability. My experience has scared me away from VW permanent and potentially Audi.

Help is appreciated.

The VW Jetta is a notorious poor performer in all reliability tests. Some suggest its because of where they are manufactured. The Audi, while not a top performer like Acura or the like, is a significantly more solid car. Some people have had bad luck, but thats with any car. Most have driven for years and put nothing into it other than gas. If you are worried get a CPO (Certified Pre Owned) Audi from a dealer with a warranty.

The Audi wins awards for its design and layouts, especially the interiors ... its a nice step up in class.

Yes, the Audi is a great car. I did research before stepping into my car and most of what I found were rave reviews. The car has been classed as reliable as well as good looking.

My Mom had a Jetta, but it didn't discourage my brother from VW at all. I hadn't thought of getting a CPO, thanks for the advice. It is such a sweet looking car.
