need help with lowering springs

Question need help with lowering springs
i put new lowering springs on my 96 a4 quattro and i hear a lot of clunking noise when i got over bumps, there made by h&r and there the right ones for my car. does anyone know what that might be?

do you still have the rubber bump stops? when you mounted the springs, did you have a small rubber ring around the springs where they seat?

yea i put the rubber bump stops back in so thats not the issue. it jus occured to me if it might be the bearings the top that let it rotate a bit or the bushings may be shot as well.
