Hi, thanks for the reply and your help! When saying idling I'm talking about the car engine being turned on. So for instance if I'm driving my car will be giving heat, but the second i stop at a red light, the car will begin blowing cold air.

 

Thanks for clarifying. This is strange, when the car is running with the engine on the heating system should work as per normal.

I agree it is strange. And yes i used the coding from the AudiEnthusiasts website

 

Only recommendation is to undo and redo the code to see if it behaves the same way.

Sorry don't really understand your question. You asking about getting the fuel consumption readout in your instrument cluster as on the A4? On the A4 you needed to have the right variant of the cluster and the trip computer control stalk retrofitted.

 

I just took possession of my 2012 A5 and I'm looking to make some of the "hidden" mods many others have made like

- seat belt chime turned off
- windows controlled by key fob

but I don't have a VAGCOM cable. I'm a complete noob about the whole VAGCOM thing too.

Is there any recurring meetups still happening in Toronto or GTA? If not, is there anyone out there willing to share their VAGCOM in exchange for a pint of beer, perhaps?
