LED DRL's won't work now?

LED DRL's won't work now?
We replaced both headlamp assemblies on a 2010 Q5 with OEM replacements, yes, we spent $2,000 on replacements due to water getting into both sides.
Now, the LEDs, also used as DRL's, will not light up, other than for a split second flicker during cranking. It is setting VAG codes 02895 and 02897 in the Power Module for DRL supply voltage, left and right.
Are we supposed to do some sort of programming? This was not a retrofit, just a straight OEM replacement. The vehicle already had the HID Xenon option, nothing has changed? Parts were bought from Audi dealership.
Anyone have any idea? I don't want to just start playing around with Adaptation and Basic Settings using random numbers etc.
Thanks
JEFF
