Hey guys after many many conteplations and everything, and testing out a few radar detectors Including the Escort 9500, I have decided to go with a Valentine V1. I just placed my order and should be here sometime soon. I was not happy with the Escort as it was going off every single time around even Superstore, Walmart, safeway due to metal detectors. And even a pizza delivery guy with a two way radio gave me a signal. LOL! So I have decided to spend the big bucks as I do drive on the highway quite often and we will see how thisone compares to the rest. I have watched countless videos and done a whole lot of research and found the V1 to be the most functional and best on the market. Also the ability to get it upgraded for $45 was beyond my asking because if I were to buy the Escort and then the new escort came out I would have to buy that without any compensation. So without any further redue I will probably be installing it as soon as it gets home I will let you know how the $500 was spent! Good Great or down the chute!!!

I got it directly from Valentine. I purchesed the case and the V1 itself, as I read that it comes with a hardwiring kit. the total came out to $510USD or something along those lines, with shipping etc. The reason I did not opt out for the ebay ones is because it might not be the latest version and Valentine does not have a distributor. The V1 case I bought because also on Ebay I saw a lot of guys selling just the unit itself with no wiring going for about $250 alone so I figured might as well get the case and when I park my car I will take it with me I know it is a hassle but so is making $500 bucks! And Valentine offers upgrades for $45 buck you cant beat that! When you mention the hardwire kit, is that to install the sensor in the front grill or ?

No Directly wire the power, so it is by my visor. Would anyone be interested into the Laser Interceptor??? They are the best laser Jammers out there but they will cost upwards of $800 if I get a good deal as they sell now for $750 I would include shipping in the price. Some even sell for $1200 and this is the best one on the market.

Too bad radar detectors are illegal in Ontario. I hear they sell them at local BB's in Alberta....

Are you doing discrete mounting or are you going to suction cup it to the windshield?

Cant do discreet with a V1 has to be windshield mounted as it has 2 sensors one for the front one for the back. so it needs to be able to read which direction as for a concealed display i might do the concealed display though

You want to buy a Jammer then??? cant be detected and it warns you while the police is scanning you and all you gotta do is slow down and hit the killswitch and they can read you at the right speed

in ontario as**ole cops were ticketing drivers who flashed lights to warn other drivers about radar trap... charges are dropped tho cuz there is no law that said its illegal, its just waste of time going to court
