i was wondering if anyone knows if you could a 2000-2001 S4 engine into a 96 2.8 A4.
is it possible cuz the S4 engine is a 6 cylinder and so is mine, would motor mounts be different?

you can if you got the money. you would spend more money on trying to fit the engine in the engine than buying the actual S4.

Fit and electronic problems would be your biggest concerns. Anything is possible with enough $ but it'd definitely be cheaper to sell and just buy the S4

the engine will fit, but you`ll have some problems with electronics, you could do that... but i don`t understand why you`ll do such a thing. buy the S4
