Default Help! Warning Signal not found in Manual

I get this warning signal when I start my car...it is a blank circle with two brackets around it. Does anyone know what it means? I checked the manual and there's no warning signal like that listed.

Looks something like this: (O) ?

It means worn brake pads.

Yes that's it. Thank you.

I was thrown off by the circle being blank.

Actually I had them check my brakes and they are fine. The censor is set off cause the wire leading to the brakes was snipped off? They told me to not worry about it, til the next time I need to change my brakes.

Snipped off? that sucks.

When is the last time you had your brakes done?

They were done not too long ago that's why when they said it was the sensor for worn brake pads, I thought it couldn't be. I had to get it checked out to make sure and they said the brakes were fine and it was the wire connecting was either snipped or snapped off.

I had a similar situation, where I had ABS warning light.
The sensors had just become dirty, taking the car through an under-spray car wash cleared that light haha.
