Default Do you trust service at Audi?

Hi,

I'm wondering if everyone trust service at Audi. I recently got a regular maintenance service but I don't trust their service at all due to a number of issues.

Also even after changing engine oil, I feel my car response slower, is less powerful, and feel like something is holding my car from the back so it feels very heavy driving.

Furthermore, I lost one of the parts in my car after I picked up from a dealer.

Anyone experienced poor service at a dealership?

I've been to the one in Edmonton and I trust their service department. Very honest and percise.

I will bring my vehicle back for anything major. Most fluid changes, and maintenance stuff I do myself or bring to my mechanic.

I've had 3 good services and 1 absolutely brutal service experience at royal oak in Calgary.

Haven't gotten too much done from them yet, but I have heard good things about my local dealership, Richmond Audi in BC

It all comes down to the head mechanic at your dealership...
One thing you have to remember is that your "service manager" gets comission and in most cases as it happened to me invented stories and quoted me for some uncessary work with an exagerrated labor and parts!
Since then, nobody touches my car but my independant Audi mechanic.

Audi Prestige stealership tried on many occasions to do uncessary work telling me ridiculous stories especially when my mechanic did the same work for a fraction of the time and price. Ido NOT trust my dealership unless the work is covered under warranty...

I have heard stories where some dealers simply slap on the certified papers and simply tick all boxes when in reality they did not go through the full inspection.

I've given two different dealerships a chance to restore my faith in choosing them over an independant mechanic because they are more conveniently located. Customer service was lacking at both and I had a small incident at one of them that left a sour taste in my mouth.

I've told my husband that I'm done with dealerships and once my extended warranty and Audi Care are finished, I'm going to go out of my way to take it to the independant mechanic. He's a one-man operation but I can trust him. (Plus he also answers all my hubby's questions and lets him into the garage to watch him work. That in itself is admirable.)

I don't believe the dealerships I'd dealt with were dishonest (at least I'd like to think so). I just wasn't satisfied with their customer service/professionalism and if I'm going to pay that kind of coin for their services the least I'd expect is for them to properly communicate with me.

Unless its urgent, I do not trust any of them. They are in it to make money through commission. When they act dumb on know issues and problems, it means they don't want their profit to take a hit.
