big electrical problem on A4 3.0
Hi guys, just subscribed to this audi forum site for a problem I have on my A4 2003, 3.0L, 6 speed.
I got that big electrical problem that's been going for a little while now.
Sometimes wen I start the car, three lights comes on: traction control, ABS and Hand brake, and with three beeps.
If I drive away anyway, the speed will not show on the cluster. If I shut the car and start it again, only the traction control lights remains on and everything else works. If I shut and start the car for the second time, everything goes back to normal.
Those three lights, beeps and speed going to zero happens also when I turn my High beams off while I'm driving, but only a few times. It will not do it everytime I try it but I will trip it sometimes, as soon as I turn them off.
I'm thinking about a common ground between headlight assy and computers that might be week or corroded, and everytime I turn the high beams off, there is a small burst of current going and trips the computer. I was looking at two ground, using Mitchell Ondeand5: G43 (behind right kick panel) and G12 (on left center of firewall, near coolant reservoir.
I'm also thinking that this problem is causing many missfires. I know a shop that hookep up the computer and the trhee lights three beep thing was linked to a computer miss-communication or something like that.
I hope somebody has the answer to this, you can direct answer straight to my email, sebast120@hotmail.com
Thanks a lot!
