Exclamation Best winter brush/scraper?

With winter looming, I wondered if anyone out there knew where to get a really good winter brush/scraper. I have gone through so many Cdn Tire cheapee's that seem to break every year.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

I generally go every year to CDN Tire and purchase a new cheapee. Its usually the wood handle with brush on one side and scraper on the other. I have tried them all and spent lots of money over the years and find they all do the same thing. so the $5 cheapee works well and lasts one season.

Last year I purchased a 60"Monster (made by Hopkins) at NAPA auto parts. It is a big clunky thing that extends to 5 feet. It is made for SUVs and vans. I can clear the snow from the driver's side. No need to step into a knee high snowbank on the passenger side. The brush can turn 90 degrees which allows you to push or pull snow, instead of the usual right to left sweeping. Anything to make Winter easier.

I use the cheap wooden ones with black plastic bristles. Just bought one on the weekend from Walmart for $1.97.

Usually have to replace it every year when the scraper falls off. Sometimes I get lucky and it stays on so I can use it again the following year. I've tried the fancy folding, plastic ones. I didn't find them to be any better. Just take up more space in the trunk/back seat.

I park in a garage though so I don't have to scrape too often.
