Im new to the forum and was wondering which older model A4 year should I buy and what to look out for.

My wife always wanted one and we could use a second car.

 

What's your budget?

 

And what do you mean by older. Are you talking about a 2 year old A4 or a 10 year old A4.

I'm looking to pay around 5000$ or so ... years 1997-2000 or so.. before the 2002 which are going for around 9000-13000$

 

I read alot of reviews, you should be fine buing anything before 2000 and after 2004 or 5. Just alot of reviews say that those years are very problematic. I got mine for 7000 without taxes and warranty, but i got my 98 with 100,000 km, im the second owner and its lady driven .

96-1999.5 meaning before june ( i think) of 1995 should be good. You can pick up those for around 6000. Look around there are always good deals!

welcome! i hope you do buy one its very nice car, just if your tall, the back seat is useless, im 6 2 and the seat behind me is kinda useless and i drive racing style, so wrist reach top of steering wheel and all, all in all close to the wheel and seat all he way way u, no lean back and still its kinda hard to fit. Just a warning
