Hi,
Quick question. I have a 04 V6 A4. This past weekend, driving on mountain roads - the battery light started going on and off on as I accelerated up hills at audi speeds.


Googling this, there are a variety of reasons - belt slipping, alternator going etc.

Back in the city, the light never comes on. Any idea? My car has 92,000 km on it.. no timing belt change.

Any ideas? Or am I in for an early timing belt change. I looked at the belts briefly tonight.. and they look fine.

You were at a higher altitude... that can be adjusted to proper altitude. that could also be the issue. But makes no sence why the battery is going off??? did you scan it?
