Hey all,
I have a 2005 Audi which i purchased in 2008 in August the Laval Dealership as a CPO in Quebec. The Car Fax which i received said no problems everything clean in Aug 2008.

I am trying to sell the car cause my wife had a baby and its in great condition. I ran the carfax again and it says that it has been in an accident 2006 and it was reported late in Sept 2008, one month after I purchased the vehicle.

I started to check the vehicle and notice some fine overspray marks on the front drive quater panel.

Wasn't the dealer suppose to find these details inder the 300 point inspection under the CPO Warranty?

I noticed in the Audi Certified Warranty Inspection checklist that all items in 1.1 Audi Achtungs (Stops!) that none of the boxes are checked off.

Any advice from anyone. Is there anything that can be done or am I completely screwed in this regard.

Call AOC and ask questions etc

What $$$ was the accident? Below like 2000 I don't they are obliged to report it...nor does it exclude the car from CPO.

Moral of the story - NEVER BUY QUEBEC CARS

 

The amount of damage which was reported on record says $10.00 dollars. Yes only ten dollars. The vehicle is an ontario car sold at a Audi dealership. That's the only reason I bought it there otherwise I heard the horrery stories of Quebec cars but figuring that it was from an Audi dealership it should be fine.

The only reason I bought it was cause it the ultra sport package A4 and I was looking everywhere and couldn't find it here

 

Horror stories? What kind?

They always seemed a bit cheaper out there than in Ontario which was attractive when I was looking to buy. We head out there most long weekends in the summers but never actually stopped into any. Guess I'm glad I didn't.
