I started the re-modding of my projection headlamps with these newer / brighter LEDs, but it's a little bit more complicated than i thought- needs a better mounting material for the leds to make it look OEM. Stay-tuned

I was searching forums and places to buy LED's for my A4 Avant 2004 and finally found it here.

Can you please provide me with the link where you bought them and some instruction on how to open the headlights to put the LED's and what to use to seal them back???

I apologize for the delayed response- if itsnt too late, the website where i purchase all my LEDs from is LEDs - underbody kits, cathodes, flexible LED strips, dome lights
here is the project finished (well until i can come up with a better design ) at least it is similar to the upcoming audi tt-s leds

So when are you guys going to strap the neon tubes underneath the bodies of your cars? This is sounding all too similar.

Yes, they are LED's.

Yes, they are new*.

And yes, they should be left to OEM applications, especially on cars that are such amazing examples of automotive engineering.



*New to Audi as an OEM part. LED lighting tubes have been around for a quite a while for aftermarket automotive application. Strap those to the underside of your car if you prefer them over neon.

 

Hey, not everyone can afford RS4'S and Brand new TT's, some people just want to have the look and work on a project. BTW if you look at the Brabus Mercedes C clas it has LED's at the bottom (220,000$) cars...i guess their designers dont know what they are doing either.

 

Ah yes, here comes the can of worms.

First of all, this has nothing to do with what one can afford. That's a pretty ridiculous comment.

Secondly, who cares what Brabus or their designers are doing to any Benz?



P.S. I meant to hand it to tiptronic in my previous post for doing a pretty clean job on his headlights. He looks like he knows what he is doing.
