Default A6 1.8T 00' cluster . regional diff?

Hi guys,
I have a 00' A6 1.8T.

In the instrument cluster it has the center LCD, that has a problem with faded pixels. the usual story... better in cold, worst when hot.
It drives me crazy so I bought from ebay the replacement lcd, to try and fix it, getting something similar to that one:

now, after recieving it, I notice that my LCD has a split apperence: more like that one (not mine, pic from the net):

rather than that:

I vereified before ordering that it is for the C5 A6, and will fit in a 00 A6.
Can it be a regional difference? Can it be that doth configuratiopns have the same screen inside?

Thanks!

my guess would be the screen is the same, and its just a trim piece in the middle. where did you buy it from (like, where was the guy located). cause if you look at the picture you posted that guys gauges are in MPH....and his fuel/temp gauges are on the bottom, not the top....weird.

IMO LED's are LED's though, and if the connection is the same, it should work.
