Just test drove an 05 A4 1.8T auto with 18k km's on it. Looking to buy this week and need some advice.

I've also found an 03 TT 1.8 manual with 75k km's on it but it is out of town and not feasible to drive that far just for a test drive.

I'd like to now know if there is a difference in power between the two? Today was my first time even in an Audi and I don't know much about them yet other than specs on these two.

I'm stuck between putting an extra $100/month out for a TT that is 2 years older with 50k km's more or the choice my dad would go for (the smarter choice) the A4 with low mileage. But I want a sports car so bad, and the fact that I can drive this one through the winter is awesome.

Pretty much want to know if I go with the TT am I going to see a big difference in power, is it a lot more sporty? Handling wise, I am expecting yes but engine performance? any help?? thanks!

 

i would go for the TT because it's
1) manual vs auto
2) 225hp vs 170hp
3) you want a sports coupe

keep in mind that
1) insurance rates will be higher on the TT
2) it's only a two seater (+2 seats for your 2 chihuahuas)
3) you still need to drive out of town to test drive it
