Default 2018 RS3 vs 2018 Q7 - long term keeper

Newbie here and potential first time Audi owner.
Im hoping for expert inputs into Audi ownership.

I currently have a 5 year old outback and looking to get either the 2018 RS3 or 2018 Q7 w/air suspension as a second vehicle to keep long term - minimum 10 years.

I don't have any experience with Audis at all and I've been reading a lot about both vehicles in terms of reliability and longevity. There's not a lot of reliability reviews out there since both are relatively new. I do know that extended warranty is a must to keep these cars long term but other than that, what else should I know about owning one of these vehicles?

Objectively, which one will last longer and has reasonable long term maintenance costs?

Thanks in advance for the input and my apologies if my newbie questions have offended anyone.

I'm into year 8 of my Audi A4 2.0T. Averaging about 1000 a year in maintenance, FWIW my mechanic is saying I keep my car to a higher standard than most.

a 10 year old RS3 might hold value a bit more than a 10 year old Q7 though.

I agree with this reply. Keeping on top of scheduled maintenance and repair is key. Also, time has proven that the RS models usually retain a higher resale value than the other Audi Series cars.

Good Luck!
