2.8 l motor oil pump

My 1994 100 has 160,000 km adn engine is starting to tap. A friends 2.8 just blew his oil pump wit 210,000km. Should I be concerned. Are there any known ways of preventing such a problem? Are the 2.8's known for such problems to begin with?

No there is nothing you should be conscerned, his oil pump blew on some other events there is nothing to do with te kms
