Default 2.0T real life l/km

Question for all those who got 2.0T lately. What is your real life fuel consumption during this winter so far.
I haven't really measured mine yet. I drive 90% in the city, and with low temps so far, it looks like over 13l/100km. Not sure what to think about it as it seems to be high. Or maybe it's combinaton of city driving + low temps + braking in.......

Remember mileage always suffers in the winter due to the additives the stations add to the fuel.
Numbers given by manufacturers you can bet are established in the 'best conditions' possible.

I wish I had real world Q5 mileage to share...

I know that every manufacturer gives most optimal conditions rating for gas intake. But 2.0T is rated 10.6l in the city, if i'm not mistaken. Yet for me it looks more like 13.6........ I'm slightly concerned.....

I've been tracking mine since I purchased in October, average is 7.6L /100km. Highest average between fills is 7.9L/100km. I drive 90% highway km. in the 110 kph area and I've already put 10000 k on the car. I never idle the car to warm up, and keep it in the garage so I can start and go.

Around the city, (Barrie) I see my drive average in the high 8 and mid 9L/100 with the odd time over 10. It is a 2008 TT FWD with relatively high mileage.

Quite pleased with this, as my Ford van averaged 12.9L/100k, now 14.9L average (city) for my wife - a saving of almost $300 fuel in a month for me.

Merry Christmas to all.

I would think that a 2.0L in a TT and a 2.0L in a Q5 does not respond the same way to fuel consumption.

It's a good reference but I would add at least 2L/km for the Q.

You're right, it won't be the same as the Q5 is quattro and carrying more weight.

I am just pointing out that my numbers are reasonably close to what I was looking for in this car.

cheers,
Al

There is no question that the 2.0T in a TT will get much better mileage than the heavier A4 and boxier Q5. Everyone is building boxes these days, have we all forgotten about the importance aerodynamics in highway driving?

Anyhow, in my 1.8T with 225hp and manual 6 speed I typically consume just under 9L/100km with about 70% highway, and 30% city driving.
