Dear Sir and Madames,

I recently purchased a 2008 A4 Sline 2.0 T - the guy who sold it to me said that the small parts of rust very minor not serious can be covered by the warranty perhaps.

I contacted Audi Canada via email about details regarding the warranty and they said it is covered so to visit the dealer.

I went to Audi Lauzon in Laval, Quebec where the car was originally purchased and they referred me to the garage that manages the warranty- Garage Europa in Fabreville, Laval, Quebec

Visited Europa and the receptionist openly said I guess your here to take advantage of the warranty - why not - its covered! (Later i found that to be bulls***.....keep reading)

She booked an appointment for me and warned me to wash the car or else they can charge when the inspector see's it...

Today i took the car , gave it a car wash - visited as per appoinment. One of the workers asked if i was speaking to a female or male - no need to mention names. I told him i was meeting the male and he said ahhhh not too much of a nice guy.

Had the appointment with the male claims person and right away he stated the following:

He told me that if the car is older then 7 years then I the owner am Liable for 30% of the costs. I asked him to check the rust and give me an estimate - the small parts of rust would cost me about 2100 CAD + taxes

No Thank you !!!

Why did they not inform me of this from the beginning wasting my time, where can it be found in the warranty, did not like the waste of time and run around from this also paying for a car wash when its going to rain!

I asked them if i can rustproof the car - they advised that if they drill holes the warranty is gone - if not your good....

Gents/ Ladies - I ask your advice where i can find on the warranty that if a car is 7 yrs + the owner has to pay for the repairs partially?

Doesn't make sense to sell a warranty and say its 12 years when its actually 7 years - thats not good business from Audi and i am sure a lot of folks got scammed by unethical salesmans and saleswomans regarding this

Not a happy Audi customer - give your business to Roger at Garage Heinz in Montreal - most honest guy and does great work for VW / AUDI
