[Importing US cars] Carchex vs flying down south in person

There's a car in the southern US I'm looking at, I'm thinking of using Carchex to have a mechanic inspect it.

But do you guys think I should fly down south myself also to look at the car too?
(I guess I would have to setup insurance on the car then to drive it around for that day)
