Default Installing aftermarket HID H7 D2S Bulbs with OEM Ballast?

Hey guys, Im sure this question has been asked before but I cant find it...

I want to replace my stock projector bulbs for something aftermarket..6000k?

I was wondering since I have a 00 Audi A4 2.8Q that came with HID's from the factory...could I simply just buy some replacement HID D2S H7 bulbs off of ebay and simply swap them or do I need to buy a conversion kit with the ballasts?

Also at what wattage does the OEM bulb run at? Would there be any risk of running a 55w bulb?

I would suggest buying the 55W-6000K kit from ddm. For 50bucks you get all in. From what I know you wont even have a problem with the code warning.

Friend of mine is running that setup on his 01-b5 and it's all good.
