Halo Projectors
Hey guys im new here just bought my 98 audi a4 a few days ago and i love that thing!
Nice and easy car to drive. Im getting my tints done as i am typing so im thinking about getting me some halo projectors. Unfortunately i don't really know where to start!
I found these guys here, seems like a pretty good price! I am just wondering if any of you know anything about them!?!
And just wondering if some of you guys know a good place where i can pick a good set up! I live in mississauga GTA area.

Re: Halo Projectors
Yea, I have to agree... the halos just don't work on the Audi's...
I'd love to get new headlights for my 01 4.2, but it's tough to find some that are clean & at a decent price!

Re: Halo Projectors
First, I think the headlights on your car are projectors already. The low beam should be anyway. I have an '01 S4 which is the same platform as your '98 and although your headlights are the old 2pc units, I think the low is still a projector. If that's the case, slap in some H7 HID's and call it a day.
As far as them looking old, you just need to buff them. I've restored more headlights than I care to mention. Pretty simple. Hit them with 1000 grit paper (wet), then 1500, then 2000, then 4000. After sanding, buff them out with coarse compound, then light, then polish, then seal them.
It sounds like a lot, but it really isn't and the result is stunning...they look like glass again.
They sell kits to restore them as well, though I've never tried the kits seeing as I have all the stuff already.
If you're hard pressed on replacing them, just go with the updated set that looks oem.

Re: Halo Projectors
I would actually replace them with something a bit more white/ chromed out or black. N ot sure yet, im not doing any heavy mods, just tinted it, change lights and thats about it, probably smoke out or chance the fender lights, they look really ugly orange on burgandy, just like wtf kinda thing. Either smoke them out or replace for white. Thats about all i am doing for now! So im just wondering of some good non piggy bank breaking lights. Oh and the above, mine ae not projectors, either of them not high beams or day lights, and i dont really like how much orange there is on the corner of stock lights. So i would like to get it a bit more euro clean kinda thing.

Re: Halo Projectors
Ya, the amber reflector does look kinda ugly. The cops here are getting bad with that sort of stuff though. No Amber reflector is like a $100 ticket. Same with rears that are tinted too dark. Friend of mine has a Mk3 GTi and he got hassled for his rear lights being smoked...the kicker is: They're OEM!
