Default Dangerous rain is dangerous!

Hi guys!
Iíve moved to south east Asia (Singapore to be accurate) and you should see the rain hereÖ If youíve watched Forrest Gump and you remember the part in VietnamÖ well thatís pretty much accurate.
The problem with the rain is that it pours so much that it makes it actually dangerous to drive because the wipers are not be enough.
So Iíve heard about these water repelling coatings, but Iíve got no experience on it and being new to Singapore also means that I donít know who to ask, thatís why Iím asking you today.
Do you guys have any products that work for a long time (I donít want to have to reapply it every weekÖ) and that does a decent job at pushing the rain out of my windscreen?

First of all let me welcome you!

From your experience I think what you need is an actual coating.
Since the weather seems much harsher than in other places I'd also suggest that you let a pro apply it.
On my side, i've tried this product called ecococat window from IGL Coatings, it works well, you could give it a shot but it has only been a couple of months that I had it applied and the rain is much less strong her than in Asia so I cannot vouch for it.
Anyway, do come back to tell me what you've chosen and if your coating works well.
