Cracked Windsheild - Audi
Thought I'd ask my fellow Audi enthuisaists of what the best steps are here ?
(a) Dealership or Apple?
(b) Audi dealerships have differences in prices ... should I just go with the one lower in price although it is not the dealership where I bought the car from ?... they seem to have a higher price...
(c) Do dealership match pricing with lower priced dealers for service ?

Re: Cracked Windsheild - Audi
mmindz.......only advice I do have is replace with an Audi windshield. Had mine replaced at Apple auto glass with another brand (insurance) and now the mirror/ rain sensor doesn't line up. I'll never do that again. It's the way the mirror button lines up on the after market windshield.

Re: Cracked Windsheild - Audi
Hey flightmedic.... Thanks for your response... Yes im aiming to go through Audi.... Certainly there is a price diffrential btw apple/ audi and apple had mentioned they cpuld get audi glass.... But the price differential was not that significant that Would get me to accept the risks of going the apple route.
I would say though-- im a bit surprised that the dealership where i had purschased the vehicle is charging me more versis the dealership where i got a quote-- even the same parts have price differences in them...

Run it through insurance. tell them a rock hit it, and its cracked.
it's covered under comprehensive insurance and doesnt raise your rates. then take it to the dealer.
