....do they flip down or just allow a pass through? I plan on looking at a couple older ones if they do, next weekend.

 

Wow! That much time has passed and no answer? LOL! Its ok, I know now.

 

Can't speak for all Model Years, nor designs, but my '07 A8 does has rigid rear seat backs and no pass through (for skis, etc.). I know the "ski sack" was an option on some/many of the A8's and A8L's, but this one doesn't have it. I had a '91 V8 Quattro (first V8 model from Audi) that had the ski sack pass through, but also had rigid rear seat backs.

Ya, the ones I've seen had pass throughs. I'd remove the bag though, as I don't ski, but fish.
