Default Will a Symphony II work in a 00 A6?

Hey all, found a good deal on a brand new symphony II radio but understand that I have to change a connector in order for the symphony II too plug and play. Originally my car came with the Symphony I, but has nothing now and looking to put something, and this seems good with the 6cd in-dash.

Is there anything else I should be aware of before I order both components as they are non-refunable. Thanks in advance.

I believe it can... think I saw this retrofit on AW once, but don't quote me.

Have a look here https://www.audiforum.ca/audio-video-upgrades-20/symphony-ii-thinks-car-always-off-66676/ as he has installed a S-II in his 01 allroad, replacing his S-I. It should be pretty much the same as your 00 A6. I'm trying to track down one of those radios for myself as a spare, but no luck yet.
