If there is a Part Source near where your located. They have the tools and they are free to rent. You pay up front and they re-emburse every penny when you return. I just removed my Bose Symphony 2 for a DD.

Yes I have a Parts Source close by. Someone on one of the Audi forums said that the unit itself is known for these problems and that I should probably put another radio.
