Default I started this forum, but...

I don't really like any of these parts, they are pretty much all stupid and impractical.

Maybe I'll watch a DVD as I'm cruising down the highway, or get a sub so powerful I can't actually hear the music.

Just not my cup of tea, but I figure some of you must like this type of stuff, so I started a section just for you

Interesting....

I have 3 subs in my car, and I can hear the music too, actually make out each and every word too.. don't get confused the true audio experience with the kid that sits in tim hortons parking lot with the droning of bass....

i feel the same about the amps..but mainly because im chinese ...and 99% of the time music i listen to has almost no bass...
as for the DVD..i really want to upgrade it for reasons such as long road trips..to entertain people in car...while i wait for people that takes forever to show up...i guess i might be mistakening this between getting a dvd or upgrading nav to be able to play dvd...but still i think the video in motion is a very useful upgrade..JM02

That is true...

It also depends what type of music you listen to...for rap or something else with a ton of bass it makes some sense.

However, as soon as I turn the bass all the way up on my Dad's Infiniti (which doesnt have a sub) it already messes up the sound quality enough.

For the record, I listen to modern, stoner and alternative rock mostly.

I listen to music spanning from Alt rock, to top 40 "pop" to 80's way back's of the smiths etc.

All i am saying, is if it is built properly, it can be a pleasant experience regardless of the vloume, just need the bass to be in tune with the higher end, and they all step up together.. accenting each other.

I'm the only one who needs to hear my music, not the neighbor down the block. In my opinion a stereo system should be accurate, and detailed in sound and function. What's the point of 10 video moniters, or a system that takes up over half your trunk. Here are some photos of my system and thanks for looking.

Fred - exactly...your system looks perfect, a simple, subtle improvement

Everytime I hear someone cruising down the street playing music so loud anyone within 2 blocks can hear it, I want to punch them in the face.

Maybe you should talk to someone about your rage issues?

Anyways, I personally can accept loud music over pointless "coffee can" exhaust systems.

As I said in my post above, don't confuse the droning of bass with loud music.

Some people (myself included) like a nice fast car with exceptional handling on a nice summer day, windows down and tunes cranked.

It's the perfect way to enjoy a day if you ask me.

I agree with both of you because I also like to roll my windows down, enjoy a beautiful day and a windy road. What I don't like is the punk kid that turns his bass all the way up and thinks it's funny to drive by my house real slow and set off my car alarms ... ... I respect other people and I expect the same in return. When I come to a residential area I always slow down and turn the music down, because I don't like it in my neighborhood. There's nothing wrong with loud music, but there is a time and place for everything. Either that or I'm getting old and crazy ...

I agree with all of you guys. I had a very loud and clear system in my Ford Focus. The bad part was that I couldn't fit anything anywhere in my trunk!
