Default DVD For an A4

Is there any way to safely and easily install a DVD player into an A4? I take several very long journeys a year with my two year old, and it's getting to be a nightmare. A DVD player would be a real plus.

I know how it feels. But if I were you buy straight from the stores where they offer free installation. I'm sure you don't want to get all messed up with your A4.

try this. we got this for the A6. I can post pics of the finished product - they come in your choice of interior color and the DVD player is incorporated in the screen. Awesome product and my local AV shop did the install for $200!

OK i finally got around to taking some pics of the DVD's. Yes, I know my kids are spoiled but I'm telling you road trips are awesome with these things!
1. Driver and passenger side screens/players.

2. Front and top view - player is incorporated and disc inserted in the top. I find that the low roof line of the A6 and the larger headrest makes inserting a disc somewhat tricky but not impossible. The headrests are adjustable within a limited range and of course the screens can tilt out.

3. On a side note look what i got my kids....love the pink!

LOL Recaro kid seats. But wait are those actually approved/safe child seats or are they just more for show?

I phoned Invision (go to this website. Rear Seat Entertainment - INViSiON Industries)
they then ship this to your nearest AUDI dealer who actually orders it for you - you pay AUDI and they ship it directly to the Dealer. My dealer wouldn't install it since they have never done this before. So I got a local AV shop to do the hookups. It comes all in one but trying to make the wiring hookup right in the A6 freaked me....Cost me $200 to install. Can't complain about that. I think the shipped cost to the Dealer was about $1700 ish
