I have a 03 1.8t with the non-bose symphony.

When I play cd's and want to listen to them nice and loud.. I have to turn it all the way to 30(full volume), and its still so quiet. Quieter then the radio by far, and wayyyy quieter then my ipod pluged in through the tape deck.

I have the volume turned up in the menu and svc is on 5. Do other people notice this? I don't see why my radio and tape deck/with the ipod are 100 times louder then my cds.

Also can I go to my local car audio shop and get them to put in an really good aftermarket amp to power all 10 speakers? If anyone has done that.. how much am i looking at?
