Aftermarket speakers

Aftermarket speakers
I everyones. I have a TT Roadster 2008 with the symphony II system, one of my speaker in passager door is down now. I'm looking for a higher quality replacement (both 6.5 and 1" speakers).
I don't have the Bose system so no sub in the car, I would like some speaker that can reach the lowest frequency possible (+/-40hz) but with the clearest sound possible too...not something like a big 12" sub.
There is so much good speakers on the feild but I need some feedback from Audi owner, some who already change their speaker.
I'm open with your suggestion...
Thanks in advance

Re: Aftermarket speakers
Just one question here, a saleman told me I have to replace all of the speaker in the car and adding an amp if I would not change the original radio. If I don't replace all speaker, he said I will blown the radio. Is he right ??
I never heard that kind of info but I new with Germany cars, so maybe they are very different of american cars...
Thanks in advance

Re: Aftermarket speakers
I recently replaced the speakers in a 2000 A4 and I was also informed that I was going to need to replace out all the speaker wires.
In the end I figured I would just go for it and I am glad I did. I never had to replace any speaker wire and the speakers I ordered from Crutchfeild fit in without any modifications.
I put 6-1/2" Kenwood KFC in the rear, they are great speakers for the price, I think I got them for about $80 with shipping.
I put BLAUPUNKT GTx542 5.25" which I got of Ebay in the front doors, only two ways but they do the job. Some modifications were required but it wasnt to bad.
So far nothing has blown. I would recommend looking for a good set of 3 ways on Crutchfeild website to see the compatibility and then use there price and shop around. I did the same thing but found it was cheaper just to order the rear speakers from them.

Re: Aftermarket speakers
Hey thanks for your reply.
I will look of those Kenwood speakers and compare the spec. For now, I'm not sure between Focal and Infinity. Focal give a good clear sound with the 1" aluminium tweeter (as I like) but Infinity can go as low as 45hz for the bass instead of 60hz for Focal. Infinity as a soft tweeter. So there is a compromise here...
For this year, I will probably go with door speakers replacement and next year for adding a small sub with small amp in the back panel, depend of the space.
Thanks again.
