Windows not closing properly
Hi, I have a 2005 S4 convertible with 35000km on it. Both the drivers and passenger side windows sometimes fail to close properly. They both go up at a normal speed but sometimes stop at exactly halfway and reverse direction. This seems to be the point at which they would normally automatically go down to when opening the top on the convertible (as all the windows automatically open to allow the top to drop). Is there a halfway point sensor or something on the convertibles that might be causing this to happen? It only seems to happen about 50% of the time. Has anyone ever had the same problem? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Re: Windows not closing properly
I had a problem with my driver side window. It was cause by the faulty window motor controller. But your problem could have a different cause. It might look that when you are closing the windows, they detect an obstacle. Before I had my problem fixed, I tried to stick my hand into the window when I was closing it: upon hitting my hand, the window would roll all the way down.
You can try lubricate the window guides, that might help.
