My 01E is on the workbench in 1000 little pieces right now and I sure wish all I had to do was tighten 1 little bolt.

Under the shift boot. Assemble with some loctite and call it done. Its the allen bolt on the linkage rod.

Its not under the shifter boot.

Jack up the car and locate your transmission. Its right in the middle of the tranny and its pretty much tucked away. JHM has a video of what the tranny looks like when its out with the linkages in place. It will give you an idea of where it is.
