Trading in our S4 on an SUV
I didn't get a chance to partake in much for discussion as i only owned my S4 for a few months. Loved the car, even the auto transmission wasn't all that bad....manual would've been better in so many ways though.
My wife is wanting an SUV and i think we'll trade off our S4 on a 2007 Lexus RX350 tomorrow or the day after.
I am envious of you all that get to keep your S4's they truly are a great vehicle in so many ways.
If i could recommend one modification for any and or all of you, it would be swapping out the factory mufflers for borlas, but leaving in the resonator. I cut mine out and did a custom job and it sounds fantastic at start up, idle and above 2k rpm....and it's absolutely exotic (not erotic) at half to full throttle acceleration. That B6 engine deserves a proper exhaust setup, beautiful sounding engine with the 40 valves.
I think this will be my last post, you all enjoy your cars and enjoy them modified or stock, it's just good seeing people enjoy cars like these versus looking for basic transportation.
Chow.
I lied, sorry, if i get a decent quality camcorder i'll take some better exhaust clips before i turf the car both for myself and any of you who are curious as to how the 4.2L V8 sounds unchoked.

What is the dealer giving you for the trade in? did you try selling it on here and bring that cash to the dealer as you will probably get more from a private sale then a trade in.

2004 audi s4 blue tiptronic transmission 59,000kms
asked $30,000 off the bat, reduced to $26,000. Had lots of inquiries, none overly serious. Ended up getting $26,000 trade in plus the tax credit on a 2007 Lexus RX350 for my wife. All in all not horrible. But lost the full amount on the rims which i am trying to sell privately.
But the best part was that our Audi dealership had never heard one of these cars with a modified exhaust. These guys loved the resonatorless custom borla exhaust, they've been "enjoying" the car for a few days now and everyone still loves it.

I definitely would buy another Audi product they are superb. My wife loved the RX350 so that was purely her decision. I would've liked one of the RS6 Twin Turbo Avants from Europe but i don't (a) have enough money, and (b) don't think they are permitted here yet. But one of those would've rocked!

Dudes. Let this be a lesson for everyone. Don't involve the wife's in decisions regarding cars. I always tell my wife after I've bought a new car.
Sorry to hear about the loss "fstr n u". You'll need to change your name to "slw enuf"
