Default serpentine belt shreaded

I have an s4 v8 the serpentine belt just blew. It doesn't look like it would be to hard to replace it but how much work is going to be to get the rad support off and pull rad up and out if thats the way to get it out. If I take it into vw or audi does any one know how much it will cost. thanks

it's pretty easy bub, but you should DEFINITELY replace the belt tensioner and idler while you're doing this

the belt is like $50 but the other parts are a couple hundred.

the salt messes them up and will cause them to apply uneven tension. A couple of WOT shifts and SNAP! You're racing to the dealer with a rapidly dying battery again.

So...that's what I'd recommend. Contact Neil in the parts department and tell him you're a forum member and need a quote on those parts.

cheers
