I have a scratch/dent on the left of rear bumper from someone hitting me in a parking lot. Its not much but I know its there and see it everytime I go to the trunk. The cost to repair it is around $400. If AUDI could come out with built in surveillance camers or better still I really like the suggestion of "Advanced Security" like a bazzooka.

I also fold my side view mirrors all the time. With all the cyclists and other morons on the road. I live and park downtown and although it's not as tight as Europe, I still prefer folding them in.

And thanks for pointing out the small "drawer" under the seat. Not perfect but useful for when my top armrest compartment is full. Didn't even know it was there
so you guys have drawers? 2006 I guess. Weird. 2006-2008 US cars have a flip out compartment, only under driver's side. B6 and 2005.5 US cars have the drawers. Canada 2006 cars are weird. They have many of the 2005.5 US car characteristics, not 2006 US cars (i.e. this drawers thing...the armrest is different...the DRL switch isn't there on Canada cars...)

p.s. young Audi guys use the secret drawer for weed

some American guys use it for their guns

If it's the same as the B7 A4, the slot is meant for the user manual.

I guess most of them have lost their user guides that came in that slot under the steering wheel.

As for the rest, the armrest is not really a problem for me. I keep it upright all the time and it doesn't bother me at all.

The drawers under the seats are great for radar detector storage and, or course, your daily stash for weed....

Another pet peeve i have is with all those little Honda Civics with "pineapple launchers" and clocks everywhere on a A pillar. Why do they always want to race me when they see an S4/RS4...
- first of all, it's not even worth my fuel to race them ..
- second, with all those clocks they must be so slow and late all them time.

I think the B5 S4 owning community has a penchant for road-racing, thus they assume you're up for it.

Never happens in my B7. My car is also silver, so that could help me fly under the radar.

I'll race them all the way up to the speed limit once I have a s/c

One reason is because the 2.7T is the benchmark for performance upgrades and anyone who thinks they have good upgrades needs something to compare to. Another is that younger kids are getting a hold of S4's creating the "penchant" for road-racing.

If your going to race, keep it off the streets and Take It To The Track!

Agree, with the prices of the B5 S4 coming down more and more youth are buying them. They are a highly tunable car and when tuned are mini rockets. My son has a B5 S4 (off the road right now due to ins. costs) and I know that he has done his share of road racing. Thankfully he hasn't been caught yet but his odds are diminishing.

My racing comment was meant to be facetious. How long does it take to go from 0 to 50 km/h? 1.5 seconds?
